DRINKING WATER Over one billion people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water and more than 6 million people (of which 2 million are children) die from diarrhea each year. This situation persists and continues to cause enormous casualties until the problem is not seriously considered at all levels. In
developing countries stations, water treatment are expensive and poorly
adapted technologies to lack of local expertise. Rainwater: a precious commodity too often neglected Recovery of rainwater for human consumption of drinking water is largely overlooked in our modern societies, although it is good water quality. It is often reserved for irrigation, outdoor uses, toilet flushing and sometimes, though rarely, for washing. Many countries prohibit the use of rainwater for drinking water production. > Eautarcie
